Gutenstein/Austria
Summer 2010 During 15 years the monastery on Mariahilfberg near Gutenstein has been accomodating our music master classes and concerts, quite a long time we look back on in gratitude. In 2009 the order in charge of the monastery has senr new friars with new concepts which do not include any activities as music master classes and concerts inside the monastery. A new location had to be looked for and finally has been found in the historical “Meierhof” next to Gutenstein Castle right at the foot of Mariahilfberg. So the link to pilgrimage as being on your way apart from everyday routine still remains, since the students attending classes are on their way too, and here they find the masters to guide and help them to set the course for the future. The beauty of the landscape surrounding a tranquil place far from the hectic activities of a big city provides the special atmosphere leading to concentrate on essentials. | |
